Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson surprised the soccer world this week with his announcement on Wednesday that he was stepping down after more than 26 years as the team's boss. During his period as one of the most successful managers in British soccer, Ferguson won twenty titles, including two Champions Leagues. The new manager is another Scot  David Moyes, who will leave Everton at the end of the season.
