The number of people out of
work in Casares has fallen for the third month in a row. There were 22 less
people on the dole in April, with a total of 507, that's 22 less than at the
same time last year. In Manilva the number of jobless also fell by 47 last month,
with a total of 1,477. The good news continued in Estepona where the figures
show that there were 195 less people signing on the dole, with a total of
7,963. The fall in unemployment figures reflects the overall trend in Malaga
province where the beginning of the tourist season has seen a rise in
employment. Last month there were just over 214,000 people on the dole, a drop
of over 2,200.
