The children of
the Sahara arrived in Casares this week for their annual holiday in peace. Five
children will spend the summer with Casares residents and will enjoy their
annual break from the hardships of desert life. The programme which brings
children from the Sahara to Malaga has been running since 1993. This year over
eleven hundred children are arriving in Andalucia, with 80 coming to
Malaga province and 5 to Casares. The children will enjoy a good diet and
undergo medical checks while they are on their summer vacation.
