A new tourism co-operative to promote the tourist industry in Casares has been launched

 Ecotourcasares is being supported by the local council and it aims to work with local businesses and enterprises to support jobs growth in the area. A visitor information centre will be available in the Reception Centre, and a craft store will be open in the Arco de la Villa craft centre. Ecotourcasares is focussing on creating tourism packages for visitors such as a visit to the town with food tasting in a local restaurant, bicycle tours, archaeology tours and botanical tours. The project is looking for rental properties on Casares Costa which allow dogs. The Town Hall is providing 30,000 Euro support for the first year, 20,000 Euro for the second year and 10,000 for the third year. The website is http://www.ecotourcasares.com/.
