A food bank has begun operating in Casares with the help of the Town Hall to help underprivileged families.

The food bank is for the less well off and those at risk of social exclusion because of the economic crisis. It will provide food and clothing so that everyone can have their basic requirements looked after. The Red Cross and Caritas are involved and donations of food and clothing are welcome from individuals. Anyone in need should contact the Mayor's offices in Secadero and Casares Costa and the food bank office in Casares at Calle Fuente.
