CASARES WILL SUBSIDISE 50 PER CENT OF THE PROPERTY TAX FOR NEEDY FAMILIES

Casares will subsidise up to 50 per cent of the IBI property tax for needy families. The subsidy is open to families who  have been evaluated as being at high risk of social exclusion and the deadline for applications ends on October 2nd. Casares Mayor Antonia Morera said that while plans are underway to lower IBI taxes from next year, needy families must be helped under the Social Integration Programme which was approved the Town Hall last year. To qualify for the subsidy the complete family must be registered with the municipality for at least eighteen months. The subsidy amounts to a maximum of 200 Euro per family and applicants must submit the figures for 2013 by October 2nd. The City Council has already asked for a decrease of 15 per cent in property taxes for 2014.
