This week has seen
a significant ratcheting up of tension on the Korean peninsula with North Korea
making belligerent threats against its South Korean neighbour and the United
States. North Korea said it has instructed its military to prepare for attacks
on the US, including nuclear attacks. In response the US has moved a missile
defence system to its military base on the Pacific island of Guam.
