Radio Casares hosted a special election debate yesterday. The event saw representatives of the different political parties seeking votes come on air to present their platforms and to debate the issues before voting take place on Sunday for the Andalucian parliament. The snap regional election was called in January and over six million voters will go to the polls to elect 109 representatives in the regional parliament. The parliament will decide on the President of the Regional Government. Voters cast their votes using the proportional representation system in a secret ballot. The Socialist Party has dominated the regional parliament since voting for the body began in 1982. Radio Casares has been carrying interviews with the prospective candidates daily on morning show La Voz de la Mañana.
