The second employment workshop in Casares has ended
its first month by meeting all its targets. Twenty people who were taken off
the unemployment register for the workshop have been undergoing training
in tourism and theatrical costume design. The students at the workshop
have also been learning computer skills and getting further education. Those
involved in the tourism module have been learning French and travelling the
tourist trails of the area to give them better knowledge of the landscape.
Students in the theatrical costume module have been learning sewing techniques
and the use of different fabrics. Those attending both modules have been
learning English as a second language. So far the Blas Infante workshop has
been a great success for Casares.
