The recent heavy rains have been causing major problems for mobile phones
in the area. The Mayor’s office in Secadero has complained to the Ministry of
the Economy, Innovation and Science (Andalusia government) about the lack of
mobile phone coverage. The office has sent a letter claiming that many
customers have been without coverage on their networks since the rainstorm of
February 27th. The Mayor’s office wants the Ministry to tell Movistar and
Vodafone to carry out the necessary work to restore mobile coverage to
residents of the area.
