The
death was announced this week of legendary English rock guitarist
Alvin Lee, a long time resident of Casares Costa. Lee, who was 68,
shot to fame after his group Ten Years After performed at the
Woodstock festival in 1968. The guitarist toured the world with
his band before coming to live at the Casares del Mar urbanisation in
the 1990's. He recently moved to Estepona and continued to play live
gigs and was due to play in Paris in April. His family said he died
on Wednesday in Spain from complications following a routine medical
procedure.
