A dramatic last minute deal this week ended the closure of the US federal government and staved off a default on its debts by the world’s largest economy. The bipartisan agreement between Republicans and Democrats allowed President Obama to sign off on federal budget and the reopening of federal offices which had been closed for sixteen days.
