Demolition work started
this week on an abandoned structure at Marina de Casares which has become a
local eyesore. The structure is situated in phase 3 of Marina de Casares,
between the sports area, the Manilva river and the A7 road. Casares Town Hall
has been trying for several years to have the structure, which was built by a
private company, demolished. The Town’s legal services department opened an
inquiry in 2009 which involved a lengthy legal process and resources. Now the
eyesore is being demolished - something that local residents have been
demanding for a long time.
