FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED TO HELP FIVE YEAR OLD BOY WITH RARE DISEASE


Casares has launched a fundraising campaign to help a five year old boy who suffers from a very rare disease. Lucas has been diagnosed with Klippel Trenaunay Syndrome, a rare congenital disorder which affects blood vessels and the lymph glands. He is unable to avail of private medical care and has been operated on by a German specialist with the initial costs paid by the family. However the family cannot afford the up to six further operations which may be necessary/ A special fundraising day will be held on December 15th with various activities, including childrens’ activities and musical performances. The campaign to support Lucas, whose father is a local police officer in Casares, will include the sale of lottery tickets.
