Twenty nine companies have tendered for the construction work on the new
bridge that will link Casares Costa with Sabinillas. There have also been
twenty one tenders for the work to complete the parking building at Calle
Camachas. These are two of the most urgent public works in the community and
work is expected to start soon on both projects. The parking building on Calle
Camachas will be named the Intercultural Centre of Tourist Interpretation and
will have five floors with more than 100 parking spaces and a day centre for
pensioners. The new wooden walkway linking Casares Costa with Sabinillas will
take three months to complete and has a budget of 207,000 Euro which is being
funded by the Junta de Andalucia. Mayor Antonia Morera said these projects will
benefit the community economically and will create new jobs in the area.
