El Secadero Feria started
yesterday and will continue until Sunday with a variety of activities for all
age groups. The official opening ceremony began with the traditional parade of
floats that accompanied the procession of the court of honour. The parade left
the sports centre at eight o’ clock accompanied by a brass band and the
coronation of the court of honour was held at 10.30. Other activities lined up
for the weekend include the the Gato Negro orchestra, the dance school festival
today, and the traditional feria lunch tomorrow and Sunday. The Deputy Mayor of
Secadero Juan Luis Villalon said that he expects a large influx of visitors
from all over for the feria.
