A new viewing platform is to be opened on the main Casares to Gaucin road for birdwatchers. The platform will give views to the west side of Sierra Crestellina. Work has already started on fencing and car parking at the site.

NEW “BLUE AREA” PARKING ARRANGEMENTS IN CASARES ARE UNVEILED

New parking arrangements are being put in place in Casares for loading and unloading areas. The ayuntamiento has taken into account complaints from local residents about the need to keep the streets of the historic quarter free of vehicles especially in the Plaza de Espana. The council has also taken into account the needs of local businesses to be supplied. The department of infrastructure has brought in new free parking blue zones from 8 in the morning until 8 in the evening. The local police have advised residents to observe the new rules and not tom park in prohibited areas or else face a fine. The bus parking area will also be extended.
