CASARES HOSTS THE SECOND EDUCATION CONFERENCE TOMORROW

Casares is hosting the second education conference at the Blas Infante college tomorrow. The conference is being organised by the Association of Parents and Students in conjunction with the town’s education department and the school. The conference will allow discussion of issues relating to education and will also provide an opportunity for parents to meet with teachers. The specific issue for this conference will be emotional intelligence and the necessary educational tools for communicating with children. The conference will feature workshops, and discussion groups and will run from 10.30 in the morning until 7 in the evening with lunch included.

CASARES PREPARES ITS FIRST EVER CONFERENCE ON LOCAL CUISINE

Casares is getting ready to have its first ever conference on local cusine. The conference follows a proposal submitted to the Bureau of Tourism and is supported by the Ayuntamiento and Ecotourcasares co-operative. The aim of the conference is to promote local food products and local companies involved in the food sector in Casares. A programme of cultural activities will also be promoted in conjunction with the conference to attract more visitors to the area. A meeting to organise the conference has been held, involving the owners of bars, restaurants, shops, artisan food products and interested locals. It was agreed that new proposals to help the conference will be welcome.

CASARES HOSTS A CONFERENCE ON ENTERPRISE THIS EVENING

A conference on entrepreneurship is being held this evening at the Casa de la Cultura. The conference includes a presentation by professors from Malaga University and  there will also be a panel of local entrepreneurs from the Casares area. These include representatives of various enterprises, including Sierra Crestellina cheese, Ecotourcasares, Bookealo and Espileta Bum. They will give advice on creating business plans, developing the social economy and what areas are best for new jobs. The conference is open to all members of the public and is being organised by the ayuntamiento and the Workers Commissions.
