THIRTY CASARENOS TAKE PART IN MASSIVE MADRID DEMONSTRATION AGAINST AUSTERITY

Thirty Casarenos took part in last week’s massive demonstration in Madrid against unemployment and austerity. The protest was organised by the Indignado movement and it is estimated that tens of thousands crammed into the Plaza de Colon and surrounding streets to protest against unemployment and the economic policies of the Government, including cuts to public services and other austerity measures. Two busloads of Casarenos took part in the protest. They joined other protestors that converged on Madrid from all over Spain. The organisers condemned a small minority who took part in violent attacks on police towards the end of the protest.
