A new pedestrian walkway that will link
urbanisations on the northside with Casares Costa is to be built. The two miles
of paved walkway will connect Marina de Casares with Bahia de Casares, Jardines
del Rosario and the Majestic urbanisation. The aim is to give residents in the
area the ability to walk between the developments without having to use a car.
The new walkway will be one metre wide in some sections and two metres wide in
others. It will be constructed of concrete with an acrylic paint covering and
the works will cost 60,000 Euro which is being funded by the ayuntamiento. The
project will also help take several people off the unemployment register and it
should take about two months to complete.
