FOUR FAMILIES RECEIVE AID FROM NEW PROGRAMME TO HELP THE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED

Four families have begun receiving aid from the new social integration programme designed to help socially excluded families set up by Casares Town Hall. The families who have no resources have been given financial aid from the programme. Other applicants in the pipeline for help include two familes in Secadero and two in Casares Costa. The programme is an entirely local initiative with no outside government help. The programme provides between 200 and 600 Euro a month, depending on their circumstances. In return, beneficiaries must carry out community work such local care and voluntary service. Over fifty families have already registered with the programme.
